Jana Stachová

Jana Stachová has been a research scientist in the Department of Local and Regional Studies at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences since 2000. Jana holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (2006), Mgr. in Political and Economic Sociology (2000) and Bc. in Sociology and Social Politics from Charles University in Prague. She specializes in sociological research on environmental issues, also approached from an interdisciplinary perspective. Her research focuses not only on various topics within environmental sociology such as landscape, forestry, soil, climate crisis, and environmental values, but also on the sociological concepts of civil society and social capital.
