Lupine is in Iceland a migrant – just like Wiola Ujazdowska and tens of thousands other people that arrived to this island on the Northern Hemisphere. Lupine was brought to Iceland to prevent erosion of the land. It has an important role in the delicate ecosystem, simultaneously changing it as it is perceived as invasive species.
